7 Months

Happy 7 months, Erin! It's been a busy month, and you grow bigger, cuter and more fun every day. Your dad and I are crazy about you, and we love having you as part of our family. This month...
you revisited the pool, and you like it so much more now that you know how to splash...
...and your daddy tosses you in the air.

You love to smile, and it melts my heart every time.
You got to spend some time with your great-grandpa, Granbob.
I'm trying to learn how to use my camera better, and you are my favorite subject these days. Here are some sweet ones of you with a new lens...
...and one of your sweet little hands. You grab your hands alot, and I think it's a way that you soothe yourself, especially before you go to sleep. So precious. I love thinking about all the good works that God has prepared for those hands...
Sadly, you had your first little sickness this month, but you fought through it like a champ. I won't take pictures of you every time you're sick, but you were just too cute...
I'm trying to take more pictures that show how tiny you are compared to your surroundings. It's so easy to take closeups of your gorgeous face, but I don't want to forget how bitty you are...
You get solid food twice a day, and you have loved everything you've tried - peas, sweet potatoes, pears, apples and cereals. I can't get over how fun it is to see your little legs hanging from your high chair.
Piece of baby equipment I'm most thankful for this month? Well, it's a tie between the baby bjorn, which you love riding in and has helped me finally win the battle against the grocery store, and your jumperoo...which you absolutely delight in. Sometimes you get so excited I'm afraid you're going to jump right out.
You still make the funniest faces...lately, you've started sucking in your lips, and since you still have no teeth, you look like this...SO. STINKING. CUTE.
I love getting to watch as your personality develops. You seem to have 2 extremes...either very happy (which is more than half of the time) or very UNhappy...and you can move from the first to the second really fast. Sometimes I call you a ticking time bomb because I know this face is somewhere around the corner.

Dearest Erin, we love you and we love getting to celebrate your life with us every day. Here are some last pictures we took today to celebrate your special day of being 7 months old! Love, Daddy and Mommy
